The Host: A Novel

The Host - Stephenie Meyer Every time I read this, I am amazed at how much I love it. It's like I'm left with the memory of enjoying it, but I forget how really really good it is. From the very beginning I've been very honest about how this is my favorite of all her books, and how it is so much better than Twilight (and I actually a fan of Twilight...the books, not the movies)I am under no delusions about Stephenie Meyer's strengths or weakness as a writer. She may not be the best writer in the world, but she does have a gift of storytelling. And the story of the host, is so much deeper than the adolescent Vampire love story of Twilight. In the Host we find a much more compelling study of the nature of love, and even to some extent the nature of morality and good and evil.Re-Read #2: 3/15/2013Re-read #1: 1/10/2011Original Read: 5/10/2008
