The Shifter - Janice Hardy How nice to read a young adult fantasy book where there were no vampires, werewolves, witches or fairies. The setting was interesting, if a bit obscure. There is a fine line between overwhelming the reader with your world building, and leaving the reader hanging.Still, I found the premise interesting and the "magic" believable. And I didn't at all miss the lack of intense teenage angsty "I love you so much I think I might die" romance.
