Between Shades of Gray - Ruta Sepetys If I weren't so stingy with my 5 stars, this one would without a doubt make the list. I enjoyed it immensely, though the ending felt a bit abrupt.I was fascinated with the history in this book as it existed in an apparent blind spot of mine. It's the story of a teenage girl and what she experiences when her family gets taken following Stalin's annexation of Lithuania during World War II.
