Something Strange and Deadly - Susan Dennard 2.5 StarsThis book just didn't do anything for me. I found it mildly engaging, but just couldn't connect to any of the characters, and I could see most of the ending from the beginning. On of my biggest frustrations: Why do people insist on writing in "historical" settings, and then allow their characters to act with modern ideals and sensibilities?Still, I gave this book the extra 1/2 a star because I was pleasantly surprised that the potential love triangle was stopped short by the decapitation of said character. LOL, that sounds a bit morbid, but it definitely was worth a 1/2 star for originiality
