Small as an Elephant - Jennifer Richard Jacobson I don't usually read middle grade books, (though that will most likely change as my daughter gets older), but the premise of this book intrigued me. It's the story of Jack, and how his bi-polar Mother leaves him while camping on an island in Maine. Jack, doesn't want to be taken away from his Mother, so he decides to make his way back to Boston where he is sure she will come back to him.The story is peppered with facts about Elephants, which I (with my general elephant ignorance) found fascinating.
